About Rafael Nadal
This is the fanlisting for Rafael Nadal Parera (known as Rafa or Rafi), a young tennis player who hails from Palma de Mallorca, Spain. He is one of the younger tennis professionals on tour right now, at only twenty years of age. Don't let his youth fool you though, this boy is no easy opponent. He has been dubbed the "King of Clay" for the 2005 and 2006 seasons, winning a large number of claycourt tournaments, and taking out the claycourt Grand Slam, Roland Garros, twice.
Tennis legends old and new have all acclaimed Rafael as a player to keep your eye on. Many have hailed him as the only possible successor to Roger Federer, who is arguably the number one undefeatable player in the game today. Whatever Rafael's tennis future holds, it's quite obvious that we will have some famous and memorable matches to look forward to.
Rafael has unfortunately been unlucky when it comes to injuries. In the 2004 season, he missed a large part of the middle of the season, sustaining a foot injury. At the end of the 2005/start of the 2006 season, he had an operation on the same foot, missing some crucial tournaments. Health and physiology experts have said that these foot injuries are a result of Rafael's aggressive style of play. As a result, Rafael has been training hard in new methods, to take care of his feet. He got off to a fantastic start in 2006 as well, again claiming the clay court as his domain as he passed Guillermo Vilas's record of the most consecutive wins on clay.
The eldest of two children, Rafael has shown himself to be a boy who loves his family very much. He's close to his younger sister and parents, and his uncle is his coach. Another uncle, played professional football for Spain, so sporting prowess runs in his blood. He's known as a real Playstation 2 maniac, with fellow players asserting that Rafael shows more aggression with a controller in his hand, than he does on court.
Physically, it's obvious to see that this boy is more than fine. He is every part of a teenage girls fantasy of the perfect Latino lover, with chiselled features, tangled shoulder-length hair, and bulging muscles. Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that Rafael is taken. He is currently dating a Mallorcan girl that he has known for years, Xisca. (Though popular fangirl imaginations will always have him paired up with his friend and mentor, Carlos Moya!)
